Precautions for leaf spring shackle pin installation and removal

The leaf spring shackle pin is one of the common parts on the car. When disassembling and assembling the leaf spring, it is often damaged due to some wrong operations. The following are the precautions during the disassembly and assembly of the leaf spring:

1. When removing the leaf spring shackle pin assembly from the vehicle, first remove the leaf spring pin, then move the leaf spring assembly and axle out of the vehicle, and finally remove the leaf spring seat bolts for disassembly.

2. Use a special tool to remove the leaf spring shackle pin of the table board, and use a copper hammer or copper rod. It is not allowed to hit the side and surface of the leaf spring with a hammer.

3. After the leaf spring shackle pin assembly is disassembled, the steel sheet must not be broken. The way to check for a break is to tap and listen.

4. When wearing the leaf spring lock, align the semicircular groove on the lock with the specified bolt hole.

5. The specified pressure is on the rear leaf spring shackle pin backing plate, and it must not be damaged during disassembly. This mark is used for marking of rear frame systems and rear axles. It cannot be missing, and a certain extension width is guaranteed.

6. When installing the leaf spring, the gap between the leaf spring shackle pins should be greater than 1.2mm. Before tightening the core bolts, the Huazhong spring group should be pressed tightly, and then the core bolts should be tightened after each piece is tightened. Tightening force distances are 40 and 60N/m.

7. Before installing the leaf spring shackle pin, each piece of rust must be removed and coated with graphite grease.

8. When installing the leaf spring shackle pin, the number of front and rear leaf spring assemblies should be equal, the total thickness difference should not be greater than 5mm, and the camber angle difference should not be greater than 10mm

9. When installing the leaf spring, the lateral displacement of each piece of steel of the leaf spring shall not exceed 25mm

10. When installing, there should be a 0.5mm gap of 7-lmm between the steel clip of the leaf spring and both sides of the steel, and the gap between the steel clip bolt sleeve and the steel and the top surface should be 1-3mm. Steel clamping bolts should be threaded from inside to outside to prevent the bolt from jumping out and scratching the tire.

11. When installing the leaf spring, the support bolts should be tightened evenly and staggered, and the tightening torque should be carried out according to the technical requirements after the wheelbase load inspection.
